Every AI-drafted imaging read carries an unreviewed state until a provider works through the checklist and signs it. The record then shows who confirmed the read and when. If the analysis changes afterward, the confirmation goes stale and asks for a fresh signature.

Decide every item
Every item in the checklist must be decided before the confirmation control becomes available.
Sign the read
Confirm the read. The record now shows Reviewed and confirmed by {provider} on {date}.
Watch for staleness
If the analysis changes later — for example after a Correct & Re-read is accepted — the confirmation goes stale automatically.
Re-sign when asked
Work through the checklist again and confirm the read a second time before it counts as reviewed.
Why confirmation exists
An AI-drafted imaging read is a set of observations for provider review, not a finished clinical record. Confirmation is the step that turns a draft into something the chart can rely on.
ChiroScribe records the confirming provider and the date so the chart shows who took responsibility for the read and when.
What has to happen before you can sign
The structure-by-structure checklist must be fully decided — every finding reviewed — before the confirmation control becomes available. A provider cannot sign off on a read they have not worked through.
This is deliberate: a signature should mean the provider actually reviewed the observations, not that they clicked past them.
Why a confirmation can go stale
If the analysis changes after it was confirmed — most often because a Correct & Re-read revision was accepted — the prior confirmation no longer describes what is in the chart. ChiroScribe marks it stale and asks for a fresh signature.
A signature never silently covers a version of the read the confirming provider never saw. Re-attestation is required every time the underlying analysis changes.
What the confirmed record shows
Once signed, the record displays the confirming provider's name and the confirmation date directly on the analysis. This is the artifact that matters most when a chart is reviewed later — by another provider, an auditor, an adjuster, or opposing counsel.
The confirmation sits alongside the revision history so anyone reviewing the chart can see what was read, who confirmed it, when, and what changed afterward.
Safety and clinical review
AI output is a set of AI-generated observations meant to support, not replace, the provider's own professional review of the image. Confirmation records that the provider reviewed it — it does not change the underlying clinical responsibility.
Troubleshooting
If the confirm control isn't available, check whether every item in the structure-by-structure checklist has been decided — an undecided item blocks signing.
If a confirmation you expect to see is missing, check whether the analysis changed after the original signature — a stale confirmation is cleared until it is re-signed, by design.
